GAP (Growing Assets Process) |
|
| Growing Assets Process (GAP) works with residents to become more self-sufficient through building assets in income, education, housing, safety, human services, relationship, and personal attributes. GAP is a database tool that shows clients a clear picture of where they are and where they want to be on the road to self-sufficiency. Highbridge works with residents to set goals, evaluate progress, connect to services and support networks. |

GAP Principles: |
|
- The Big Picture - GAP helps a person to understand the "Big Picture" of what they need in order to become more self-sufficient.
- Strength-Based - People are seen as assets rather than deficits.
- Relationship is Key - a trusting, caring, and honest relationship is paramount to the growing assets process.
- Life More Manageable - GAP is a starting place that helps clients break down difficult issues into more manageable pieces.
- Making Goals - GAP helps people set their own realistic goals and steps to reach them.
- Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Some GAP workers are residents that really know the community because they live in Highbridge.
- Systematic, Data Driven Approach - GAP is an effective and efficient system of service delivery that is set out to measure the seven assets for self-sufficiency.
