Sr. Carole Keaney shares her deep connection with the natural world with others. Sr. Carole holds a master's degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch College and is a certified Master Gardener. She teaches people to enjoy the stillness of winter sunsets, to notice the brilliant variations of flowers, and to learn more about drought remedies.

In 1993, she started the garden. Today, the garden has become a vibrant cooperative that allows the community to enjoy the riches of harvests in their lives. Sr. Carole understands how our interactions with the environment can bring healing to ourselves and our relations with each other.

Sr. Carole welcomes everyone to the fields -- garden members, visitors to the Empowerment Center, Highbridge employees or children from the Bronx.
