Highbridge Community Life Center provides Back-To-Work Program services through a partnership with the New York City Human Resources Administration and SeedCo/ Non-Profit Assistance Program (NPAC).

What We Do: Highbridge provides intake, orientation, and assessment services, pre-employment services, job development, case management, and postemployment and retention services. Highbridge provides these services in a friendly culturally sensitive way.  The participants in the program are required to complete 35 hours of job related activity each week.  This is done by working, attending job training, or the Work Experience Program (WEP). 

Program Goals: The goal of the contract is to provide services that will ultimately lead to participants in the program becoming self sufficient.

Other goals include a minimum of:

*  15 new job placements each month or 180 per year.

*  13 clients achieving 30 days of employment each month or 156 per year.

*   8 clients achieving 90 days of employment each month or 96 per year.

*   4 clients achieving 180 days of employment each month or 48 per year.

Who Are Our Clients/ Participants? Highbridge has an active client roster of 150 participants and must take any person referred by HRA.  The Highbridge Back-To-Work program is made up of individuals applying for public assistance and individuals receiving public assistance. 

What Are Participant Qualifications? Our participants have wide ranging educational back grounds from less that high school to master’s degrees. 

The participants have Certifications in:

*  Drivers License/ CDL

*  Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant and Medical Billing/Coding

*  Security/ 8Hr./16Hr./Fire Guard/ NY State License

*  Computer Software and Clerical

*  Maintenance/ Boiler Repair

How Do We Work with Potential Employers?  We work with employers in a variety of ways and our job placement services are completely free to employers:

*  We fill job orders that employers send to us

*  We prescreen clients for jobs

*  We contact potential employers to find out about their staffing needs

*  We provide replacement services if an employee doesn’t work out
